UPDATE 18 MARCH

Thank you to everyone who has registered their interest in seeing the LIT Festival: Stories in Light ‘Intrude’ Bunnies at Grand Central. We are actively monitoring updates and advice from the Australian Government Department of Health, particularly in regard to public gatherings. In line with the current advice, the bunnies will remain until this Saturday night, with Huckleberry Gin playing this Friday night at our open-air stage in Central Square.

So that we can actively monitor attendance numbers from our community, please register your interest in viewing the illuminated bunnies here - https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/F72FMLQ

It goes without saying that the health and wellbeing of our entire community is our top priority, and we will be implementing added hygiene measures, including, hand sanitisation stations and extra surface cleaning during this event.

LIT Festival: Stories In Light is returning to Toowoomba and Grand Central!

As proud sponsors, we are excited to display magical illuminated rabbits, larger than life in their new patch in Central Square (albeit temporarily!)

We invite you take part in the festival by visiting, viewing, photographing or just delighting in ‘The Bunnies of Intrude’; bunnies who stand enormous, illuminated in white light, appearing to be quite at home nestled into landscape of Grand Central, as part of Parer Studio's installation 'Intrude'.

Parer Studio’s principal creative, Amanda Parer, is an Australian artist inspired by the dramatic Tasmanian landscape. Parer’s artwork aims to explore the natural world, it’s fragility and the role of humanity within it. When the audience visits one of these ephemeral art installations they are enticed by the play of scale, light, dark, drama, and humour.

Beginning with the opening ceremony on Friday 13 March, there will be two weekends of festivities to follow, with plenty to entertain and delight the family.
