Summer is filled with backyard BBQ’s, prawns at the beach and picnics in the park with the friends and family. Quintessentially Australian, our love of the outdoors brings us together and as the temperatures soar we need a dress code that’s as easy as the long, laid back, lazy days that we look forward to.

As we peel off the layers from previous seasons, the keys to Toowoomba Summer dressing will be found in adopting the simplicity behind the approach of less is more and by selecting pieces that will allow style & comfort to take centre stage.

For our Toowoomba women, a style theme that we keep coming back to is 'keep it classic', and this Summer is no different. While you keep it simple, you will be creating a wardrobe of classic staples that will last you the test of time. The first classic style to invest in this season is the maxi dress, with a colourful twist as this season's colour palette comes straight from a tropical fruit bowl.

One of our favourites is this tiered maxi from Country Road in a delicious shade of mango. Pair with with a simple sandal and an oversized hat and you are ready to stroll out the door, to Queens Park. Our other Summer love is the all in one jumpsuit or playsuit, otherwise known as the onesie! It's an easy option which we love in fabrics that keep you cool, so opt for natural fibres that breathe.

Gentlemen! Choosing shorts and light weight trousers over jeans will be the key to your comfort and set you up for great summer style.

Traditional and classic colours will carry you through, but don’t be afraid to play with a pop of colour.
