Dressed up to go out
We're dressed up to go out
Finally, we can get dressed up with somewhere to go and what better time to breathe new life into your wardrobe than on the cusp of a new season.

Despite all our good intentions and the best advice about dressing to enhance our state of mind and level of focus while working from home (in other words, ditching the pyjamas), COVID-19’s casual dress code has dominated and our athleisure and pyjama drawers have significantly increased in size.

And while the borders might remain shut for now, albeit, with a slight adjustment required on what is deemed to be the new ‘normal’, our freedoms have returned and we are excited, because its finally time to get ready to go out!

Finally, we can get dressed up with somewhere to go and what better time to breathe new life into your wardrobe than on the cusp of a new season (in every sense of the word).

Hints of spring have found their way into your favourite stores; bold prints at Florence & Marable and feminine nods to traditional spring florals at Witchery, just to name a few.

This season’s accessories are yours in delectable sorbet palettes and personally we simply can’t resist the latest satchels from Radley London available at Myer in citrus lemon and strawberry sundae shades. Of course, what would an accessory update be without a new piece from Mimco… your personal guarantee to getting noticed.

The transitional seasons can be tricky and at the risk of sounding repetitive, we will say it again, layering will be your best friend as you navigate through the unpredictable nature of spring. If you are looking for an alternative that will speak to your inner vogue, consider Veronika Maine’s angled hem button side vest as the new found hero in your wardrobe, a piece that offers you versatility and plenty of style.

Blazers and trench coats will replace your winter coats and a selection of great tees are of course staples for the season. #styletip - Be quick to check out the DKNY graphic tees available exclusively at Myer for extra style points.

Now gentleman. We have not forgotten you… Some might say we saved the best for last? It’s time to swap out your heavy duty knits and long line jackets for something a little lighter; YD’s Military style jacket is the perfect transeasonal piece layered over a simple tee and your favourite jeans and why not up your ‘man of style’ rating and focus on the details; perhaps the latest Prada’s from Sunglass Hut are your perfect frame together with a classic new time piece from Prouds
